Taylor and Joe got married on October 19, 2024, at the Mill Lakeside Manor.
Their Story
They met through mutual friends while Joe was in medical school at Georgetown and Taylor was working in clinical research at Georgetown.
“We hit it off right away, and as they say, the rest is history,” says Taylor.

The Proposal
While vacationing in Anguilla, Joe and Taylor’s beach dinner was rained out, so Joe calmly made a new reservation.
Just before leaving, there was a knock—Joe said it was the taxi and asked Taylor to answer. Instead, room service arrived with champagne, leaving her confused.

As she turned to lead them out, Joe was down on one knee. Taylor said “yes” and they celebrated with champagne on the balcony at sunset.

Details of the Day
“We are so grateful for all our amazing vendors,” says Taylor. “Everyone warned us something would go wrong on our wedding day but truly nothing did and we know that’s all thanks to our incredible vendors.”

Choosing the Venue
“Spring Lake has always been a special place for us,” says Taylor. ” Joe’s family lives nearby and while living in NY, we spent many weekends there with friends, family and our dog.”

“When we began searching for wedding venues, we immediately fell in love with The Mill during a FaceTime tour,” says Taylor. “The stunning lake views and expert staff made out-of-state planning easy. Choosing The Mill was truly the best decision we made!”
Favorite Moment
“It was the perfect day,” recalls Taylor. “The ceremony was beautiful, and it was so special to have a private moment together after to soak it all in and take some sunset photos.”

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
“The staff was so attentive during the reception, anticipating our every need (food, drinks, temporary peace and quiet),” says Taylor. “They made a special point to take care of our parents in the same way!”

“And the hangover station with Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches was a no-brainer for a Jersey shore wedding,” says Taylor.
Advice For Other Couples
“Stay true to what you and your partner want for your wedding—don’t stress traditions or others’ opinions,” says the bride.

“One thing we enjoyed was having a date night on the 19th of each month after booking our wedding date for October 19,” says Taylor. “Whether dining out or cooking at home, it was a special monthly time to celebrate our engagement and enjoy wedding planning together.”
Honeymoon
They went to Greece, started in Athens, then went to two islands, Santorini and Sifnos.

They enjoy plenty of amazing food, especially fresh seafood and feta cheese. They went on a winery tour in Santorini and learned about white wines. In Sifnos, they lounged on the beach and went on a hike around the island.
“It was an unforgettable trip to end our wedding celebrations,” says Taylor.
