Their Story
Caroline and Salvatore tied the knot on April 4, 2024 at Lake Mohawk Country Club in Sparta. The couple met on Bumble in May of 2020 and went on their first date at the Turtle Back Zoo on July 2.
The Proposal
Two years to the day of their first date, Sal proposed where they had their first kiss, Manasquan Reservoir.
He asked Caroline to turn around for a moment and when she turned back around to face him, their dog, Hana, was wearing a bandana that said, “Mommy will you marry Daddy?”
Sal then handed her an AirPod that was playing a playlist of their favorite songs.

Choosing the Venue
“We absolutely loved the fairytale whimsical feel of Lake Mohawk,” Caroline says. “The water only added to the beauty of our dream.”
Details of the Day
These Marvel-loving New Jerseyans went with a theme of a “Marvelous Tale.” Sal carried a Captain America shield and all the groomsmen had dedicated Marvel characters.
Their wedding featured flowers in lilac and dusty rose, as well as centerpieces with Funko pops of all the shows and movies they’ve seen together.
Advice for Other Couples
“I know everyone says it, but it’s extremely true: the day goes by so fast,” Caroline says. “Enjoy every moment you can.”
